Public notice
Privacy
Effective August 1, 2026
Scope
This notice explains how information collected through the public PreBranch website is handled. It does not govern a separate client portal, secure file system, or private application, each of which may have additional terms or notices.
Information collected
PreBranch may collect information a visitor voluntarily provides, including name, organization or household, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, matter category, matter description, desired result, deadline information, involved parties, and referral source.
The website and hosting provider may also process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser information, request time, security events, and basic server logs.
Use of information
Information may be used to review and respond to an inquiry, evaluate whether a matter fits, identify potential scope or conflict concerns, prepare a proposed engagement, protect the website, maintain necessary business records, and comply with applicable obligations.
Sensitive information
Do not submit confidential, privileged, highly sensitive, or voluminous information through the public website. A secure submission method may be provided after the inquiry has been reviewed.
Sale and advertising
PreBranch does not sell information submitted through the public website and does not use inquiry information for targeted advertising.
Service providers
Cloudflare delivers and protects the public website, operates the inquiry function, and verifies the form’s anti-abuse challenge. When the form is enabled, accepted inquiries are delivered to the approved PreBranch Microsoft 365 mailbox through Microsoft Graph. PreBranch does not use a separate public inquiry database at launch.
Retention
Accepted inquiry content is retained in the approved business mailbox for inquiry review, engagement administration, security, recordkeeping, dispute prevention, or applicable obligations. No automatic deletion schedule is configured at launch. Retention is reviewed manually, and content may be preserved when needed for an active or prospective engagement, business records, disputes, or legal obligations. Minimal operational logs may retain a request identifier, time, result, and provider-response category; they are designed to exclude the submitted descriptions and contact details.
Security
PreBranch uses administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the systems and information involved. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Requests
Privacy questions or requests may be sent to [email protected].
Changes
This notice may be updated as the website, systems, practices, or requirements change. The current version will be posted here with its effective date.
